  25. Jim -- nowhere did I imply that Carlotto was the "authority" as you 
  26. creatively recounted.  Nowhere do I say that Carlotto is right and all 
  27. others are wrong.  The point that eludes you in your seemingly boundless 
  28. capacity for self-delusion is that Carlotto is an **important 
  29. contributor** to the research literature on the Face.  Whether or not his 
  30. work is "right" or "wrong", whether or not you agree or disagree with 
  31. him, the FACT is that nobody familiar with the research literature should 
  32. present an opinion without exposure to Carlotto's research.

  34. I'd be a lot more impressed with Maurice if he dissected and destroyed 
  35. Carlotto's research with honesty and objectivity than by displaying a 
  36. strong opinion, replete with ridicule, with no exposure to this 
  37. fundamental researcher in the field.  For you to imply that I'm telling 
  38. anybody to "defer" to Carlotto's "authority" is the height of your usual 
  39. arrogance and selective perception filters.  This should clear up your 
  40. problem.
